Antique Moroccan Jobbana Soup Pot

€630.00

A beautiful antique lidded vessel known as ‘Jobbana’. The pot was used for the fasting soup called ‘Harira’, served during the ‘Ramadan’ fasting period. In other periods, these vessels are used for preserving other food. It was made probably in Fez in the first half of the 20th century, ca. 1920-1930.

A very decorative piece with a striking form and colors, overall a beautiful object and a collector’s piece. In a good antique condition, note a cracked decoration on the lid and on the barrel and some chips pictured.
